X-Wander

may 2009, Ghent

This is a first demo of the attr-x environment. Attr-x is inspired by 3d video games, but is not a game as such. It is used to play and move sounds around. What you see here is just a recording of one session, not a static movie.

Every sound you hear is represented in a virtual space and visible if it is in front of you. In this case you hear stereo (try headphones!) but the system can be scaled to 7.1 surround easily.

For now, sound can be moved and played by using command line instructions, but other interfaces should be added in the future. The camera and ears can also be moved, as will be shown in a next demo.
